About GLOAM

GLOAM is a social dungeon crawler on Solana set in the old city buried under the new one. This page is the honest version of what that means.

What GLOAM is#

GLOAM is a persistent, shared world. Everyone who logs in comes down the same stair, into the same rooms, and whatever they do down there — emptying a cache, buying out a market stall, holding a corridor in the Gloam — is visible to everyone else.

There is no single correct way to play. The world is built as a set of loops that each stand on their own:

• Pry caches for salvage and relics
• Cut lichen in the Cistern for the base inputs of nearly everything
• Fabricate gear, lamps, tools and hooks at the Warrens kilns
• Trade with other delvers at the Wick Market
• Cook at the Table for buffs that genuinely change how far you get
• Fight in the Gloam, ranked or with a company
• Collect delver kits, hands and relics because you want to

Most people settle into one or two of these and ignore the rest. That is a supported way to play, not a failure to engage.

Where it runs#

GLOAM runs in the browser. There is nothing to install, and you can walk around before connecting anything.

A wallet is only needed for the parts that touch the token: the Wick Market, premium company, and tournament entry. Everything else — prying, lichen, cooking, contracts, the Landing — works without one.

What state this is in#

GLOAM is in active development and we build in public. These docs describe what is live now, plus a roadmap shaped by what players ask for.

Every page marks its own status. Where a system is designed but not shipped, the page says so at the top instead of describing it in the present tense. Where numbers are still being tuned, the page says that too — balance figures in these docs are current values, not promises.
